Learners at Moefi Secondary School in Mabaalstad outside Rustenburg, North West say the e-learning system that has been introduced at their school will help them improve their results.

Moefi Secondary School is the first rural school to implement a paperless classroom.

Learners and teachers are now using advanced technology.

The interactive learning system allows both learners and teachers to access the curricula, books and other learning aids through tablets, Ipads and interactive monitors.

Some of the learners say, “The PC tablets are going to help us in many things like researching, checking last year’s papers, that will help us to prepare for exams. We want to get the best results possible.”

The school’s principal, Johannes Pule, says the tablets will enable the learners to deal quickly with the syllabus at the school.

“The learners are adapting to the new technology very well. Teachers and learners are discovering together. Classroom management is becoming easier. The learners are moving very quickly through the syllabus.”
